Middletown, RI - A. Barbara Wilson, 71, of 217 West Main Road, Middletown, RI, formerly of Elizabeth, NJ, died Friday, April 3, at Newport Hospital. She was the wife of Thomas Wilson Sr., of 49 years. Born in Elizabeth, NJ on September 8, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Catherine Morgan White.Mrs. Wilson was a member of the Community Baptist Church. She loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She loved sports, and was an avid Red Sox and Celtics fan. She also enjoyed to shop. Besides her husband, she is survived by three sons Thomas Wilson Jr. of Georgia, Kevin C. Wilson of Tiverton, RI, and Mark A. Wilson of Birmingham, AL, a daughter Dianne J. Farrar of Newport, RI, eight grandchildren Thomas Wilson, Marc Wilson, Sakina Wilson and Brina Wilson, all of American Samoa; SSGT Christopher T. Wilson of Germany, Corey Wilson and L.J. Wilson both of Jacksonville, FL, David Farrar Jr. of Newport, RI, and two other grandchildren and one great grandchild Alexandra Wilson of Fort Bragg, CA. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2009, at 12 noon in the Community Baptist Church, 50 Dr. Marcus Wheatland Boulevard, Newport.Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery, Middletown, RI. Calling hours will be held Thursday, April 9, 2009 from 10:00am-12:00pm in the Community Baptist Church.
