MIDDLETOWN, RI ? Abbie I. Perry, 84, of 600 Valley Road, Middletown, RI, died Saturday, February 11, 2006, at John Clarke Nursing Home, Middletown, RI. Born in Newport, RI, on March 9, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Ida Irwin Greenman.Mrs. Perry was a nurse?s aid for many years having worked for the Baptist Home, Catherine Manor, and Murphy?s Rest Home. She was also a longtime active member of the Salvation Army. She is survived by her daughter, Joyce Peebles of Fort Myers, FL, four grandchildren, Carletta Kershaw of Fort Myers, FL, Charles Peebles of Fall River, MA, Myralee Peebles of Wakfield, RI, and Stacy Pine of Fort Myers, FL, and six great grandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2006, at 10:00am, in the Hambly Funeral Home, ?Brick House?, 30 Red Cross Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, February 15, 2006, from 2-4pm in the Hambly Funeral Home.
