Middletown, RI - Adelaide "Lyda" Reynolds, 96, of Middletown, died Saturday, March 30, 2013 at John Clarke Health Care Center Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Reynolds.Born in Middletown, RI on March 20, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Manuel F. and Adelaide (Alves) Alemida. Lyda worked for the State School lunch program from 1969 to 1983. She was a daily communicant of Jesus Saviour Church and an avid Red Sox fan.She is survived by her son Paul Francis Reynolds and his wife Lydia, of Middletown, RI, three grandchildren Kyle P. Reynolds, Nicholas P. Reynolds and Jessica A. Reynolds and her great granddaughter Kayleigh E. Reynolds.She was the sister of the late Manuel Almeida, James Almeida, Frank Almeida, Angelo Almeida, Joseph Almeida, Edward Almeida, Mary Almeida and Julia Morgan.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 3, 2013, from 5-8pm, in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.Her funeral will be held on Thursday, April 4, 2013, at 9am, from the funeral home, followed with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am, in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway, Newport.
