Middletown, RI - Adele Margaret Parsonage, 92, of Forest Farm Assisted Living Middletown, formerly of 22 Gould Street, Newport, RI, died Saturday, October 23, 2004 at Grand Islander Health Care Center Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late John J. Parsonage. Born in Newport, RI on August 1, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Chester and Mary E. Sullivan Oakley. Mrs. Parsonage was a member of Saint Josephs Church, Newport and its Rosary Sodality. She was a member of the Womens Order of Hibernians AOH #1, Newport and the Middletown Senior Citizens Center. She had been a former navy mother, an avid bingo player and she enjoyed knitting and making sweaters for her family. She had also enjoyed duck pin bowling and had been associated with different leagues throughout the years. She is survived by three daughters Marilyn Edenbach of Newport, RI, Ellen A. Wright of Naples, FL, and Nancy M. Harmon of Portsmouth, RI, two sons John J. Parsonage and Paul J. Parsonage both of Middletown, RI, thirteen grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Edward K. Oakley, Herbert Oakley, Lillian Holland and Helen Stamo. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, October 26, 2004 at 9:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in St. Josephs Church, Broadway And Mann Avenue, Newport.
