Adeline C. Silveira

Newport, - Adeline C. Silveira, 88, Formerly of 16 Appleby Street, Newport, died Monday, May 31, 2004 at Village House Convelescent Home in Newport. Born in Newport, RI on Mar. 1, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Manuel R. and the late Mary G. Coelho Silveira. Mrs. Silveira attended St. Josephs Church and Jesus Saviour Church, both in Newport. She worked for many years as a housekeeper at the Officers Quarters of the Newport Naval Base.She is survived by a niece, Margaret Viveiros of Portsmouth and three nephews, Joseph Silveira and Richard Silveira, both of Newport and Richard A. Sousa of Middletown, RI. She was the sister of the late Manuel R. Silveira Jr., Antone Silveira, Frank Silveira and Marie C. Sousa.Her funeral will be held Wednesday, June 2, at 8:00am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway at Vernon Ave., Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.
