MIDDLETOWN, RI - Agnes Maria Mariman Caiger, 98, of Middletown, died January 9, 2006 at The Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late Frederick Willis Caiger for 66 years who predeceased her in 1995. Born in Nicholas, Belgium, on October 17, 1907, she was the daughter of the late Marcel and Augusta Mariman.Mrs. Caiger and her husband were self employed entertainers specializing in comedy and dance for 25 years, retiring in 1946. They performed together as the ?Londons? in Scotland, England, France and Monte Carlo for many of Europe?s nobility including the Kings of Denmark, Sweden and Spain. During World War II they entertained troops with the USO across the country as June ?Rogers, Smith and Eddy?. Mrs. Caiger started her career in motion pictures with director George Zukor in RKO and MGM studios at age 16, as a dancer. Mrs. Caiger is also predeceased by her sister Marian Yerkes of Stuart, Florida and leaves several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Friday January 13, 2006 at 11:00AM in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
