Newport, RI - Agnes Susan Medeiros Medeiros, 81, of 19 Chapel Street, Newport, RI, died Friday, October 28, 2011 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI.She was the wife of the late Manuel J. Medeiros. Born in Middletown, RI on May 14, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Rose Gracia Medeiros. Mrs. Medeiros worked as an assembling worker for 24 years at General Electric. She is survived by her brothers, Manuel Medeiros and Arthur Medeiros both of Middletown, RI, her longtime companion Manuel Gonsalves of Newport, RI and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Lydia Mace and Joseph Medeiros. Her funeral will be held on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at 9:00am in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory may be made to the Visiting Nurse Services of Newport and Bristol Counties, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
