Albert W. Clark

Portsmouth, RI - Albert W. Clark, 84, of Portsmouth, RI, died Saturday, February 4, 2012 at Warren Skilled Nursing Center, Warren, RI. He was the husband of the late Mary Clark.Born in Fall River, MA on April 30, 1927, he was the son of the late Peter A. and Alice Walker Clark. During World War II, Mr. Clark served in the Merchant Marines, and after the war served in the US Navy, Army and Air Force. After his time in the military, he worked as an engineer for the New England Power Company, where he retired.He is survived by his son Albert P. Clark of Bristol, RI, his daughter Marlene Sawyer of Portsmouth, RI, and his son Thomas M. Clark of Tiverton, RI. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.He is preceded in death by his sister Claire Dawson. His funeral will be held on Tuesday February 7, 2012, at 11:00am in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. Burial will be in Portsmouth Cemetery in Portsmouth.Calling hours will be held on Tuesday February 7 from 9 to 11:00am in the Funeral Home. .
