Middletown, RI - Alexandrina Shan Pignatiello Impellitteri, 92, of 123 Vernon Avenue, Middletown, RI, died Thursday, May 14, 2009 at Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI.She was the wife of the late Salvatore H. Impellitteri. Born in East Providence, RI on March 25, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Leonardo and Theresa Perreira Pignatiello.She was a personal maid for Mr. Mrs. Preston Davie on Ledge Road. Mrs. Impellitteri was a communicant of St. Lucys Church, a member of AARP, the Middletown Historical Society, the American Legion Auxiliary, the V.F.W. Ladies Auxiliary Middletown, the D.A.V. Auxiliary Unit 13 in Warren, RI and the Middletown Senior Citizens. She is survived by many nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Roseann Beebe, Beatrice Eddy, Lucia Bastinelli, Hilda Castro, Theresa Silvia and Mary Cochran. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2009, at 8:00, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown.Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Monday, May 18, 2009, from 4-7, in the funeral home.Donations in her memory may be made to the Robert Potter League, PO Box 412, Newport, RI 02840 or to the American Cancer Society Of Rhode Island, 931 Jefferson Blvd., Suite 3004, Warwick, RI 02886.
