Middletown, RI - Alfred Jesse Jacome, 80, of 3 Rosedale Terrace, Middletown, RI, died Wednesday, April 4, 2012, in Chelsea, AL. He was the husband of the late Winifred May Kelly Jacome. Born in Middletown, RI on December 30, 1931, he was the son of the late Manuel and Mary Viera Jacome.Mr. Jacome worked as a manager for the Middletown Public Works Department for several years. Before that he had worked for a local oil company and managed the Second Beach Campground for seven years with his wife. He was an avid Green Bay Packers fan, loved baseball and NASCAR, snowmobiling and camping. Al loved nothing more than spending time with his loving family. He is survived by his children, Alfred Jacome, Jr. of North Kingstown, RI, Bert Jacome of Chelsea, AL, Jay Jacome and his wife Chris of Middletown, RI, Pam Gould and her husband Ralph of Middletown, RI and Tammy Francis and her husband Roger of The Villages, FL, his grandchildren, Michael Gould, Christopher Francis, Alex Gould, Cameron Harris and Corey Roderigues, and his great grandson Noah Gould. He was the brother of the late Manny Jacome, Tony Jacome, Joe Jacome, Raymond Jacome, Frank Jacome, Jesse Jacome and Mary Roderigues. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, April 11, 2012, from 12-2pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, followed by his funeral at 2pm.Burial will be in Middletown Cemetery in Middletown.
