Alice Barbara Carrellas

Middletown, RI - Alice Barbara Carrellas, 89, of 373 Boulevard, Middletown, RI, died Tuesday, November 7, 2006 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of Ernest J. Carrellas of Middletown. Born in Middletown, RI on January 6, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Barbara Silvia.Mrs. Carrellas was a manager at the Princess Shop on Thames Street during World War II. She was a communicant of Jesus Saviour Church. Mrs. Carrellas was an avid gardener. Besides her husband of 57 years she is survived by her daughter Barbara Carrellas of New York City. She was the sister of the late Antone Silvia, Manuel Silvia, Mary Silvia, Delphine Silvia and Flora Roche. Her funeral will be held on Monday, November 13, 2006, at 9:00 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 am in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway And Vernon Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Sunday, November 12, 2006 from 6-9 in the Memorial Funeral Home.
