Alice Boxell

Converse, IN - Alice Geraldine Cox Boxell, 82, of 516 East Walbash Converse, IN, formerly of Newport, RI, died Saturday, October 25, 2003 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI.She was the wife of the late Jesse S. Boxell. Born in Newport, RI on May 4, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Henry and Katherine ONeil Cox. Mrs. Boxell lived in Newport before moving to Indiana in 1962. While in Newport she worked at the Naval War College and Raytheon as a clerk. She then moved to Indiana and worked as a clerk in the Grant County Court House in Marion Indiana retiring in 1985. She is survived by her son James W. Hallock of Las Vegas, NV, her daughter Margaret A. Maldonado of Tuscon, AZ, three sisters Joan Loughran of Swansea, MA, Rhoda Zurybida of Middletown, RI, and Anne Gadoury of Newport, RI, her caregiver and granddaughter Stephanie Planck of Gas City, IN, her granddaughters Terri Pirtle and Crystal Hallock both of Las Vegas, NV and her grandson Kirk Davis of Tuscon, AZ.Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, October 28, 2003, at 1:00 PM in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be private.
