Alice Elizabeth Sargent

Middletown, - Alice Elizabeth Angel Sargent, 93, of 333 Green End Avenue Middletown, formerly of 15 Everett Street, Newport Rhode Island, died Tuesday, February 11, 2003 at Grand Islander Health Care Center Middletown, RI.She was the wife of the late Gardner Bruce Sargent. Born in Newport, RI on November 22, 1909, she was the daughter of the late Charles B. and Anna Crockett Angel.Mrs. Sargent was a member of the Scottish Right, Daughter of the Thissle, Daughters of Eastern Lodge, Esther Rebecca Lodge and the 1st Presbertian Church. She is survived by two sons Paul Sargent of Norton, MA, and Kenneth Sargent of Cranston, RI, her daughter Shirley Hartfield of Machias, ME, ten grandchildren and fifteen great grandchildren.She was the sister of the late William Angel, Elbert Angel, Elmore Angel, Charles Angel Jr., and Alfred Angel.Funeral services and burial will be private.Donations in her memory may be made to the Visiting Nurse Services Of Newport Bristol Cos, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.Arrangements are by the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport.
