Alice G. Gill

MIDDLETOWN, RI - Alice G. Gill, 82, of Aquidneck Place, Portsmouth, formerly of 28 Bayview Park, Middletown, RI, Northgate Apartment, Middletown, and 16 Burdick Avenue, Newport, died Friday, October 21, 2005 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. Born in Newport, RI, on September 7, 1923, she was the daughter of the late Thomas J. and Christine Waring Gill. Miss Gill had worked as a bookkeeper for the Eppley Laboratory in Newport, for 25 years, retiring in 1986. She was also a member and Communicant of St. Lucys Church in Middletown. Miss. Gill was an avid knitter. She is survived by many nieces and nephews and many great nieces and great nephews.She is preceded in death by her brothers Leo F. Gill, Harry A. Gill, Donald J. Gill and George E. Gill. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, November 3, 2005, at 9:00AM, in St. Lucy?s Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown, RI.Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Memorial donations may be made to Visiting Nurse Services of Newport Bristol Counties, 1184 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, 02871.
