East Windsor, NJ - Alice G. Johnson, 66, of 82 Garrison Place, East Windsor, NJ, formerly of 173 Rogers Lane, Middletown, died Friday, October 3, 2008 at home in East Windsor, NJ. She was the wife of the late Norman Johnson. Born in Baltimore, MD on September 21, 1942, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Bessie Carter Mitchell.Mrs. Johnson retired from a career with the Department of Defense, working as an office administrator on the Newport Naval Base. She is survived by three daughters Elise Wilmot of Midlothian, VA, Norma Johnson of Newport, RI, and Diedra Johnson of East Windsor, NJ, and step-son Michael J. Tucker, of Oakdale, CT, her son-in-law Albert Wilmot and Daughter-in-law Robinette Tucker. Six grandchildren; Princess Tucker, Albert Wilmot II, Devvon Wilmot, Eric Anderson II, Jana Wilmot, and Tylon Wilmot. She is also survived by two sisters Janet Miller and Patricia Maynard both of Long Island, NY, two brother-in-laws Bernice Miller and Claude Maynard. She is also preceded in death by brothers Lawrence Mitchell Jr. and Warren Mitchell. She is survived by a host of nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, October 11, at 10:00am in New HBC Worship Center, 229 Maple Avenue, Newport, RI. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter, RI.Calling hours will be held Friday, October 10, from 6:00-9:00pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI.
