Newport, RI - Alice Lorraine Bollin Free, 78, of 13 Conanicus Avenue, Newport, RI, died Tuesday, July 1, 2008 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Herbert Free. Born in Newport, RI on September 1, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Mabel Cottam Bollin.Mrs. Free was an avid bingo player, loved her adventures to Foxwoods, loved pets and lived to see the Boston Red Sox win the World Series. She is survived by her children, Donna Nelson of Portsmouth, RI, Herbert Butch Free of Richmond, VA, Wayne Free, David Free and Brian Free all of Middletown, RI, her brother Aubrey Bollin of Massachusetts, nine grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.She was the sister of the late Donald Bollin, Mary Gillman, Edith Harmon and Phyllis May Sisson.
