Alice S. Yeomans

NEWPORT, RI - Alice S. Frates Yeomans, 74, of 6 Halsey Street, Newport, RI, died Sunday, July 10, 2005, at John Clarke Retirement Center, Middletown, RI. She was the wife of Frederick Yeomans and the late Harrison Ford. Born in Central Falls, RI on April 8, 1931, she was the daughter of the late John and Mary Laurance Frates. Mrs. Yeomans worked for 25 years at the Newport Hospital as a transport aide and early on worked in the Newport Hospital Nursing School. Besides her husband she is survived by her children Robert Rositer of Rosamond, CA, Maryanne Sakahara of Los Angeles, CA, Francis Allen Rositer of Portsmouth, RI, and Dianne J. Ford of Newport, RI, her siblings Ferdinard Frates and Gus Frates both of East Taunton, MA, Augustina Frates Overstreet of Garden City, MI, Mary Frates and Lou Frates both of East Taunton, MA, thirteen grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, July 14, 2005, at 9:00AM, from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00AM, in St. Josephs Church, Broadway And Mann Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 13, 2005, from 5-8pm in the Memorial Funeral Home.
