Portsmouth, RI - Amy Andrus Pinto, 50, of 253 Jepson Lane, Portsmouth, RI, died Saturday, June 9, 2007, at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. She was the wife of Mark S. Pinto.Born in Corpus Christi, TX, on March 1, 1957, she was the daughter of Kermit Warren and Martha Lasater Andrus.Mrs. Pinto was loving homemaker who enjoyed arts and crafts, animals, and she was quite fond of the character, Tigger. Amys family wishes to thank Dr. Eric Radler and the entire I.C.U. staff of Newport Hospital for their caring, compassion, and professionalism.Besides her husband and parents, she is survived by two sons, Jacob J. Silvia of Goldsboro, NC, and Alexander Silvia of Portsmouth, RI, three brothers, Clair P. Andrus of San Francisco, CA, Stephen W. Andrus of Bronx, NY, and David F. Andrus of Warwick, RI, a nephew, Adam Andrus of Warwick, RI, a niece, Erica Andrus of Warwick, RI, and a grandson Jacob Will Silvia.She is preceded in death by her son, Andrew W. Silvia.Calling hours will be held Tuesday, June 12, 2007, from 4-7pm in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, RI. Burial will be private.
