Portsmouth, RI - Amy (Roderick) Cotta, 106, of Portsmouth, died Thursday, March 27, 2014 at Forest Farm Health Care Center Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late Henry Cotta. Born in Portsmouth, RI on February 20, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Maria (Paiva) Roderick. Mrs. Cotta was a communicant of St. Barnabas Church and served on the Womens Guild. She loved to cook, sew and crochet. She is survived by her children, Raymond A. Cotta and his wife Gail, Henry J. Cotta and his wife Arlete and Richard J. Cotta and his wife Christine all of Portsmouth, RI, twelve grandchildren, and sixteen great grandchildren.She was the sister of the late Joseph Roderick, Manuel Roderick, John Roderick, Josephine Ferreira, Julia Ferreira and Mary Medeiros.Calling hours will be held on Sunday, March 30, 2014, from 2-5, in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI. Her funeral will be held on Monday, March 31, 2014, at 9am, from the funeral home, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at 10am, in St. Barnabas Church, 1697 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
