Newport, - Anastasia Veronica Miller Byron, 92, of 20 Summer Street Newport, formerly of 21 Mt. Vernon Street, Newport, died Tuesday, April 8, 2003 at Heatherwood Nursing And Subacute Center Newport, RI. She was the wife of the late Albert James Byron Jr. Born in Newport, RI on January 26, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Adolph A. and Anastasia Z. Hayes Miller. Mrs. Byron was a nurses aide for the former Frenches Nursing Home of Newport and at Newport Hospital for 15 years retiring in 1965. Mrs. Byron was a communicate of St. Josephs Church. She is survived by five sons Stephen A. Byron of North Dartmouth, MA, Walter J. Byron of Dover, DE, David F. Byron of St Louis, MO, Lawrence A Byron of Seffner, FL, Robert E. Byron of Middletown, RI. She also leaves two daughters Sandra A. DeSantis and Carol L. Gaudet both of Newport, 35 Grandchildren and 30 Great Grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Albert J. Byron III and sister of the late Edward Miller, Francis Miller, Frank Miller and Dorothy Cawley Her funeral will be held Monday, April 14, 2003 at 9:00AM from the Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway, Newport, Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00AM in St. Josephs Church, Broadway And Mann Avenue, Newport.
