Andrew James Kuiee

Newport, RI - Andrew James Kuiee, Sr., 69, of 55 Park Holm, Newport, RI, died Thursday, September 21, 2006 at Newport Hospital. Born in Newport, RI on January 31, 1937, he was the son of the late Alfred and Mildred Sprague Kuiee.Mr. Kuiee grew up in Newport. He landscaped for many local cemeteries and he also was a tree surgeon. For many years he also worked as a prep cook in many Newport restaurants. Most Recently he worked for the Newport Housing Authority in the maintenance department. He is survived by his daughter Edith Maloney of Newport, RI , a son Andrew Kuiee Jr. of Newport, RI, six brothers Robert Kuiee of Newport, Leroy Kuiee and John Kuiee both of CO, Benjamin Kuiee of S.C., William Kuiee of North Kingstown, RI, Jack Kuiee of Middletown, RI, and a sister Edith Emily Harvey of Washington. He also leaves four grandchildren Meghan, Qiana, Kirsten and Malaka Maloney, and many nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late Evelyn Echavarria and Mildren Kuiee. His funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 at 12 noon from the Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway Newport, followed by a graveside service at Newport Memorial Park, Howland Avenue, Middletown.Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9 in the Memorial Funeral Home.
