Middletown, RI - Angela Pimental Lopez, 94, of 147 Seascape Avenue, Middletown, RI, formerly of Astoria, NY, died Saturday, March 25, 2006, at the John Clarke Nursing Home, Middletown, RI. She was the wife of the late Emilio Juan ?Frank? Lopez. Born in Fall River, MA, on December 18, 1911, she was the daughter of the late Raoul F. and Delfina Viera Pimental.Mrs. Lopez had worked as a telephone operator for ATT, in New York City, where she worked the longlines and overseas calls, for over 30 years, retiring in 1975. Upon her retirement, she and her husband moved to Middletown, where at the age of 63 she learned how to drive. She dearly loved New York and missed it all the days of her retirement. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers Association. Locally, she joined a bowling league, Gloria Stevens/La Vie/Newport Athletic Club and started gardening. She had 2 cats, Puss and Kato, whom she loved and spoiled completely. She loved to walk in the snow and pansies were her favorite flower. She was a good mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and friend. She will be missed. She is survived by a daughter Lorraine L. Kelly of Middletown, RI, a sister Rose P. Silvia of Middletown, RI, two grandchildren Trevor M. Kelly-Bissonnette and her husband Laurent of Portsmouth, RI, and Lisa A. Kelly of Fall River, MA, two great grandchild Tyler Bissonnette and Lauren Bissonnette both of Portsmouth, RI. She was also the sister of the late Antone Pimental, Jack Pimental, Jessie P. Declara, and Delphine P. Cambra. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at 9:30 a.m. in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in Trinity Cemetery, East Main Road, Portsmouth.Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, March 28, 2006, from 5-7 p.m. in the Memorial Funeral Home.
