Ann C. Reynolds, 97, of Middletown entered into her spiritual life on Thursday, March 26, 2015 at Forest Farm Health Care Center in Middletown, RI. Born September 11, 1917, in Portsmouth, RI, she was the daughter of the late Jessie and Ernelinda A. (Nunes) Silvia.She was the devoted wife of the late Joseph Edmund Reynolds. Ann was born in Portsmouth and grew up on Corys Lane. She was a dedicated mother and wife, and raised her family in the 5th Ward neighborhood in Newport. More recently she was living in Forest Park Middletown and Forest Farm Assisted Living.Ann was a stay at home wife, mother and homemaker. She was a pillar of strength throughout her life, while still maintaining a sweet and simple demeanor that won the trust and heart of many. Her signature gift of joy, shown through her beautiful smile, appreciation and gentleness will never be forgotten. We want her to know that she did a great job and wish a safe journey. She will be missed and cherished by all her family and friends. She is survived by five children: Ann Tobias (Toby) of Lee's Summit, MO, George Reynolds (Kay), of Litchfield Park, AZ, Joseph Reynolds (Sharon) of Portsmouth, RI, Barbara Reynolds (Deb), of Phoenix, AZ, Pauline Reynolds of Portsmouth, RI, two siblings: Emily Mathias and Joseph Silvia, both of Portsmouth. She also leaves her grandchildren, Steven Tobias, Sharon Starrett (Joe), Barry Tobias (Linda), Pamela Newton (Chuck), Kurtis Reynolds (Karen), Beverly Petty (Jerry), Keith Reynolds, Deborah Gilchrest (Lee), Kevin Reynolds (Rebecca), Cherie Lawson (Craig) and Cindy Pascale, thirty great grandchildren and thirteen great-great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by a grandson, Scott Reynolds, a granddaughter Christine Collins and her siblings, Mary Raposa, MaryAnn Silvia, Mildred Viera, Josephine Perry, Clara Benevides, Manuel Silvia, and William Silvia.Her funeral will be held on Friday, April 10, 2015 at 9:00am in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown, RI.
