Anna D. Serpa

- Anna D. Flowers Serpa, 94, of 85 Rhode Island Avenue, Fall River, MA, formerly of Manning Terrace, Newport, and Boulevard, Middletown, died Tuesday, May 14, 2002 at Charlton Memorial Hospital Fall River, MA.She was the wife of the late Joseph P. Serpa and companion to Joseph Gray of Fall River. Born in Middletown, RI on January 18, 1908, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Leite and Mary Sylvia Flowers.Mrs. Serpa was the former owner of Lorah?s Drug Store in Newport. She was a former member of Jesus Saviour Church. She is survived by two sons William Serpa of Jupiter, FL, and Joseph P. Serpa Jr. of Warwick, RI, seven grandchildren, eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews and her companion Joseph Gray of Fall River, MA.She was the sister of the late Frank Flowers, Joseph Flowers and Mary Perry. Her funeral will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2002, at 10:00 am, in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway And Vernon Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery, Middletown.
