Anna Frances Bryan

Anna Frances Bryan, 82, of Garfield Street, Newport, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 28, 2015 at Grand Islander Nursing Home in Middletown. She was born April 25, 1933 in Newport, RI, the daughter of the late Clifford E. and Jennie L. (Carter) Bryan. Anna worked as a dietitian at Newport Hospital and later graduated from Newport Hospital School of Radiology and retired from Newport Hospital as an X Ray Technician. Anna was also employed by Transcom Industries in Middletown and retired due to illness. Anna was a member of Community Baptist Church and served as secretary of the executive council. Annas relaxation was found in knitting and crossword puzzles.She is survived by her sisters Edna M. Wells of Newport, RI, and Sandra LeComte and her brother Jerome Bryan (Wanda) of Fall River, MA. She also leaves behind sister In Law Ruth Bryan of Fayetteville, NC, Marsha Bryan and Christine Bryan, both of Fall River, MA, and brother in law Ronald Gilmete also of Fall River, MA; She also leaves a host of nieces and nephews and her maternal Aunt Barbara Williams of Newport, RI.She was preceded in death by her brother Clifford E. Bryan Jr., sister Martha R. Gilmete, and brothers Kenneth Bryan and Robert Bryan.Calling hours will be Monday, January 4 from 10:00-11:00am at Community Baptist Church, 50 Dr. Marcus Wheatland Boulevard, Newport. The funeral will follow at 11:00 am in the Community Baptist Church.
