Newport, RI - Anne Bean King, 84, of 137 Bliss Road Newport, died Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at home.She was the wife of the late Frederick F. W. King. Born in Baltimore, MD on February 9, 1920, she was the daughter of the late Thomas L. and Ethel Scheubrooks Bean.Mrs. King was a former member of the Mosaic Club of Newport, a member of the Edward King House and a communicant of St. Josephs Church. She was a avid swimmer at the YMCA until 1993. She is survived by two sons Frederick F. W. King Jr. and Richard A. King both of Newport, RI, two daughters Janice A. de Vries of Hague, Netherlands, and Barbara McIntosh of Providence, RI, her sister Barbara Lynch of Chevy Chase, MD, and two grandchildren Jessica McIntosh and Christopher McIntosh both of Providence, RI.Her funeral will be held on Monday, May 3, 2004, at 9:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:00 AM in St. Josephs Church, Broadway And Mann Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Exeter.
