Anne Marie Catalona Cannarozzi Middletown, - Anne Marie Catalona Cannarozzi, 82, of 288 Green End Avenue, Middletown, died Sunday, August 1, 2004 at home. She was the wife of the late Walter Joseph Cannarozzi. Born in Akron, OH on June 17, 1922, she was the daughter of the late Samuel and Frances Luria Catalona. Mrs. Cannarozzi was the owner and operator of the former Cliff Walk Manor on Memorial Boulevard, Newport, for 28 years, retiring in 2000. She was a Communicant of St. Lucys Church in Middletown. She was a member of the Newport Lions Club Ladies Auxillary. She also had been a volunteer with the Make A Wish Foundation and a fund raiser for Hospice of Newport She is survived by a son Michael W. Cannarozzi of Middletown, RI, three daughters Louisa Axelrod of Wellesley, MA, Frances Babcock of Newport, RI, and Roseanne Cox of Chesapeake, VA, a sister Virginia French of New Bern, NC, 8 Grandchildren, and 2 Great Grandchildren. She was also the sister of the late Dr. William Catalona, John Catalona, James Catalona, Anthony Catalona, Mary Maslow, and Josephine Catalona.Her funeral will be held Thursday, August 5, at 8:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 AM in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown. Memorial donations may be made to the Childrens Glaucoma Foundation, 2 Longfellow Place, Suite 201, Boston, MA, 02114.
