Anthony C. Kouis

BRISTOL, RI, - Anthony C. Skip Kouis, 59, was born the son of Anthony Pano Kouis and the late Caroline Henderson in Newport, RI. He died July 1, 2010 at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Francine M. Paschoal Kouis.Skip was a retired Master Sergeant, United States Army, following over 26 years of service primarily in the Military Police MP. His duty assignments included Alabama, Georgia, Washington, Germany and over a decade in South Korea, where he served with the Provost Marshall Office Joint PMJ, 8th MP Brigade Provisional. Following his retirement, he returned to Rhode Island and worked with the Public Safety Division at Roger Williams University. He took great pride in the many c lose relationships he forged throughout his career. Above all, Skip was a selfless man who loved his family. In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Michelle Kouis and Derek Johnson; his grandson, Kyte Kouis Johnson; his loving step-children, Naheed and Kavohn Hadjisoffi; and his cherished Shih Tzus, Shi-Shi and Mickey. His funeral will be held on Sunday, July 4, 2010, 1:00 pm in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in honor of Madasyn Wurm, the Kouis family Rett Angel International Rett Syndrom Foundation, 4600 Devitt Drive, Cincinnati OH 45246.
