Anthony J. Rego Sr

Middletown, RI-Anthony J. Rego, Sr., 76 of Middletown, died Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Rhode Island Hospital, Providence, RI.He was the husband of the late Janet (Arruda) Rego.Born in Middletown, RI on September 4, 1937, he was the son of the late Antone and Virginia (Pimental) Rego.Anthony grew up in Middletown and began his working career as a teenager milking cows for his soon to be father-in-law, Alfred Arruda Sr. He was a member of the Laborers International Union Local 673 in Newport, RI from 1958 until his retirement in 1995. Anthony, together with his wife Janet, took over the family business from his late Uncle Manuel Rego in 1971 and operated A. Rego Septic Service until his death. He will be sadly missed by his family, friends, and the many people whose lives that he touched along the way.He is survived by his children, Anthony J. Rego Jr. of Portsmouth, RI, Jennifer Joslyn and her husband Mathew of Tiverton, RI and Lisa Rego of Portsmouth, RI. He also leaves his two grandchildren, Samantha and Brady Joslyn, and his brother Clarence Rego and his wife Georgiana of Middletown, RI.He was the father of the late Kevin Rego and the brother of the late George F.
