Anthony R. Soares

Anthony R. Tony Soares, 67, of 1064 Green End Ave, Middletown, RI, died Sunday, October 3, 2010 at Philip Hulitar Inpatient Center, Providence, RI.He was the husband of Patricia Silveira Soares. Born in Newport, RI on May 15, 1943, he was the son of the late Antone and Helen Johnston Soares.Tony was a self employed plumber and pipefitter, working as Tony Soares Heating. He belonged to the Quoahog Chapter 48 Camping Club of Aquidneck Island. He loved spending time on the CB radio, using the call name Casper. He also loved singing, and would broadcast his songs over the internet on the site PalTalk.com Tony enjoyed fishing, playing cards, especially poker and pitch. He is survived by his wife Patricia Soares of Middletown, RI , a son Eric A. Soares and his wife Helena of Middletown, RI, a step son Paul Maigler of Middletown, RI a step daughter Rhonda Smith and her husband Craig of Middletown, RI and his grandchildren Dustin Soares, Renee Lewis, and Dylan and Ben Smith. Tony also leaves his brothers Norman Soares and his wife Flora of Middletown, RI, and Edward Soares and his wife Chris of Moreno Valley, CA, and John F. Murphy of St. Petersburg, FL, and many nieces and nephews. Tony was preceded in death by his son Anthony Louis Soares and his step son George A.
