Anthony SperoMIDDLETOWN, RI - Anthony Spero, 89 of 600 Valley Road Middletown, RI, formerly of 89 Bayview Park, Middletown, died Wednesday September 28, 2005 at John Clarke Nursing Center. He was the husband of the late Virginia Moore Spero. Born in Newport, RI, on October 3, 1924, he was the son of the late Ceasar and Mary Radice Spero. Mr. Spero was a Quality Control Inspector at General Electric for seventeen years retiring in 1977. He is survived by his son Eric Spero of Cambridge, VT, his two brothers Michael Spero of Newport, RI, and Ceasar Spero of Portsmouth, RI, his two sisters Teddy Dufur of Fallon, NV, and Marguerite Wander of Bowie, MD. His funeral will be held on Monday October 3, 2005 from The Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport at 7:30am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 8:30am in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport, RI.Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Sunday, October 2, 2005 from 4pm-7pm in the funeral home.
