Antone A. Pavao

Antone A. Pavao, 90, of Portsmouth, RI died peacefully in his home on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. He was the husband of Deolinda Garcia Pavao.Born in Tiverton, RI on January 31, 1921, he was the son of the late Caetano and Isabella Soares Pavao.Before retiring, he was employed by Manchester Wheeler of Tiverton, RI and Aquidneck Lobster of Newport, RI. He is a member of Teamsters Local #526. Antone was a WWII Army veteran.He leaves behind seven children, Barbara Miranda and Nancy Mello of Tiverton, Elaine Cooper of Orange, Texas, Pauline Skitzki and Linda Pendleton of Portsmouth, Diane Robert of Warwick, and John Pavao of Fryeburg, Maine. He also leaves behind 24 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren. He was the father of the late Anthony Pavao and Kathleen Pavao Silvia.Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, April 15, 2011 at 10 am in St. Anthony Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
