Antone J. Silvia, Sr., 94, of East Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, died peacefully on Thursday, November 19, 2015 at home. He was the husband of 67 years to the late Belmira Agnes (Miranda) Silvia.Born in Portsmouth, RI on May 22, 1921, he was the son of the late Christopher and Mary (Fragosa) Silvia.Mr. Silvia was employed at Chase Farms for over 50 years and enjoyed floral gardening.He is survived by his son, Antone J. Silvia, Jr. and his wife, Regina, of Little Compton, RI and Dunedin, FL; his daughter, Agnes Silvia of Portsmouth, RI; his grandchildren, Casey Silvia and Corey Silvia, both of Boston, MA; his brother, Frank Silvia of Tiverton, RI; and many nieces and nephews.He was the brother of the late Christopher, John, George and Alfred Silvia, and Laura Leduc and Helen Lee.Calling hours will be held on Monday, November 23, 2015 from 9:00-11:00 a.m. in Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, with a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home.
