MIDDLETOWN, RI ? Antonio ?Tony? Figueiredo, 78, of 13 Massachusetts Avenue, Middletown, RI, died Tuesday, July 19, 2005, at Grand Islander Health Care Center, Middletown, RI. Born in Newport, RI on October 30, 1926, he was the son of the late Antonio and Mary Silvia Figueiredo. Tony was a plumber for Tilley Plumbing and for the Newport School Department. He is survived by his sisters Helen L. Peckham and Flora C. Soares both of Middletown, RI, and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late John Figueiredo, Joseph J. Figueiredo, Mary Ridle, Beatrice Rochford, Rose Hunter, Nellie Ford and Vina Phillips. His funeral will be held on Friday, July 22, 2005, at 8:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 AM in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway And Vernon Avenue, Newport. Burial will be in St. Columbas Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2005, from 4-7pm in the Memorial Funeral Home.
