Antonio Soares Moura

Portsmouth, RI - Antonio Soares Moura, 88, of 5 Valhalla Drive Portsmouth, died Monday, January 17, 2005 at Our Lady Of Fatima Hospital North Providence, RI.He was the husband of Ana Cabral Moura of Portsmouth. Born in Santa Maria, Azores, Portugal on February 17, 1916, he was the son of the late Jose Soares Coutinho and Maria Guilhermina Moura Coutinho. Mr. Moura before moving to the United States in 1970, had been a Merchant in his native homeland . He had lived in Cambridge, MA for over thirty years and had been employed by the Hyatt Regency Hotel before moving to Portsmouth, RI in 2003. Mr. Moura was a Member of Saint Anthonys Church, Portsmouth, RI. He is survived by two daughters Zenalia Arruda and Maria Alice Sousa both of Portsmouth, RI, six grandchildren and two great grand children. Mr. Moura was the brother of the late Pedro Coutinho and Angelina Andrade. His funeral will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2005 at 9:30 am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, with a Mass of Christian burial at 10:30 am in St. Anthonys Church, 2836 East Main Road, Portsmouth.
