Arlene L. Deady

Middletown, RI - Arlene L. St. Cyr Deady, 75, of, Middletown, RI, St. Petersburg, FL, and long time resident of Newport, passed away on Wednesday March 14, 2012, at the Newport Hospital surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of Eugene F. Deady. Born in Newburyport, MA on February 18, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Albert St. Cyr and Mary Nathalie Eldred Fogg.Arlene was a graduate of Chandler School in Boston, MA. She is the former proprietor of the Jem Art Store and Island Card and Party, both formerly located in Middletown, RI. She went on to work for many local businesses ending her career by volunteering for AARP as a tax consultant. Her true passion, greatest accomplishment and what she was most proud of was her family. She is survived by her husband of 52 years Eugene F. Deady of Middletown, RI and St. Petersburg, FL and her five children Michael Deady of Attelboro, MA, Stephen Deady and his wife Sarah of South Windsor, CT, Laura Deady of North Kingstown, RI, Alison Aymerich and her husband Pablo of Norwalk, CT, and Patrick Deady and his wife Trish of North Kingstown, RI. She is also survived by her loving and adoring grandchildren, Timothy, Julia, Andrew, Michaela, Danielle, Erin, Jack, Philip, Colleen, Garrett, and Sam. Arlene was an avid supporter of all of her families activities and events. Her expert sewing, knitting and crocheting left us with many beautiful and sentimental items that will be cherished forever. Arlene also had an open door and a place at the kitchen table for many. She was the center of our lives and she will be dearly missed. Calling hours will be held on Sunday March 18, 2012 from 5-8 pm in the Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway, Newport.Her funeral will be held on Monday March 19, 2012, at 8:00AM from the, Memorial Funeral Home 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00am in St Josephs Church, Broadway, Newport, RI 5 Mann Ave Newport.
