Pawtucket, RI - Arthur A Souza, 74, of 51 Cute Street, Pawtucket, RI, formerly of Newport, died Saturday, May 29, 2010 at Pawtucket Memorial Hospital, Pawtucket, RI.He was the husband of Betsy Bjerke Souza of Pawtucket. Born in Fall River, MA on November, 15, 1935, he was the son of the late Arthur A and Pauline Caloura Souza. He is survived by wife Betsy Souza of Pawtucket, RI, daughter Catherine Hanson of Pawtucket, RI, his sister Patricia McCarthy, grandsons Anthony Souza and David Hansen, granddaughters Lisa Grimberg and Christine Forbes great grandsons Devon Hansen, Julien Grimberg and Marsaih Thornton and great granddaughter Brianna Forbes. Mr. Souza worked for many years for Sanders Corporation as a Quality Control Manager. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus lodge 256 in Newport, R.I. He was also a member St Marys Catholic Church in Newport. He loved spending time with his family.His funeral will be held on Thursday June 3, 2010 at 8:00 am from the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Rd in Portsmouth with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9: am at St Marys Church Spring Street, in Newport.Burial will be in St. Columba Cemetery in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday June 2, 2010 from 4:00-7:00 pm in the Connors Funeral Home.
