Arthur Dumond

Middletown, RI - Arthur Dumond, 61, of 1 Admiralty Drive, Middletown, RI, died Monday, March 24, 2008 at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. He was the husband of the late Eleanor Gilbride Dumond. Born in Lawrence, MA on August 28, 1946, he was the son of the late Arthur and Claire Demers Dumond. Mr. Dumond was a Senior Chief in the United States Navy. He was employed for 20 years at the Maher Center on the Newport Naval Base. Mr. Dumond was an avid Red Sox and Patriots Fan. He is survived by his sons Bryan A. Dumond and his wife JoAnn of Tiverton, RI and Keith R. Dumond and his wife Alisa of Warwick, RI, his step-sons William Croce and his wife Tina of Middletown, RI, Michael Croce of Newport, RI and Marc Croce of Hollywood, FL, his siblings Claire Smith of North Andover, MA, Albert Dumond of Merimack, NH, Carmen Barous of Boxford, MA and Paul Dumond of Highland Mills, NY and he was the proud papa of Diana Dumond, Aidan Dumond, Bill Croce and Nicholas Croce. Calling hours will be held on Friday, March 28, 2008, from 4-8 in the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. A Prayer service will be led in the funeral home at 7:30pm, on Friday, March 28, 2007. Burial will be private.
