PORTSMOUTH, RI - Arthur F. Testa, of 2121 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI, passed away after a five year illness on Monday, May 30, 2005, at Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. He was the husband of Gayle Martin Testa of Portsmouth. Born in Providence, RI, he was the son of the late Anthony and Philomena Anatone Testa. Arthur served in the United States Navy, during World War II, in the South Pacific, Midway. He was self employed and owned many different business in Newport and throughout New England. Arthur belonged to and was a charter member of the Alpine Country Club, and a member of the Italian American Club in Providence, RI. Besides his wife he is survived by his daughter Candice B. Testa of West Virginia and four grandchildren. He was the brother of the late Carmine, Salvatore, Paul, Alfred, John and Angelina Testa. A Memorial service will be held at a later date.
