Arthur H. Blair, 86, of Sakonnet Bay Manor, Main Road, Tiverton, RI, formerly a long-time resident of Manchester, died April 26, 2008 at Charlton Hospital in Fall River, MA.He was the husband of the late Louise Dietlein Blair, to whom he had been married 40 years.Born in Winthrop, MA on March 24, 1922, he was the son of the late Arthur T. and Beatrice A. Dansereau Blair.He is survived by his daughter, Beth B. Chenier and her husband Richard of Tiverton, RI; six grandchildren, Christina, Adam, Andrew, Catherine, David and Daniel Chenier; and two brothers, Edward Blair of Ashland, MA and Frederick Rusty Blair of Meridian, ID.He was a World War II veteran of the US Naval Air Corps and a graduate of Northeastern University. During his career as a Certified Public Accountant, he was a partner at Hartford, Nelson and Co., financial administrator at the Manchester Water Works, and taught accounting at local colleges.His greatest interests were the Word of God, classical music and literature, gardening, and mountain climbing. He loved his God, Gods people, and his family. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 21, 2008 at 10:00 am at Southside Bible Fellowship Baptist Church in Manchester, NH, where he had been a member since 1959.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Christian Aftercare Ministries, 50 Lowell Street, Manchester, NH 03101.
