Arthur J. Mcphee

Newport, RI - Arthur J. ?Mac? McPhee, 78, of 53 Gould Street, Newport, RI, died Monday, March 6, 2006 at the Newport Hospital, Newport, RI. He was the husband of Helen Carreiro McPhee. Born in Mexico, ME, on November 1, 1927, he was the son of the late Lawrence and Rose McPhee.Mr. McPhee served in the United States Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict, retiring in 1967 after 20 years of service. He was a member of the Newport Lodge of Elks and the VFW Post 5390. Mac was an avid baseball and football fan. Besides his wife of 42 years, he is survived by a son Michael McPhee of Los Angles, CA, a step son Brian Segerson of Newport, RI, a daughter Bonnie Anisley of Greenville, NC, a brother Ernest McPhee of Rumford, ME, a sister Irene Newell of Mexico, ME, 3 grandchildren Jason Anisley, Ryan Ainsley, and Kevin Ainsley. He was also the brother of the late Melvin McPhee, Eva Perry, Dorothy Thiault, and Olive Comeau.A graveside service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. in Newport Memorial Park, Howland Avenue, Middletown.Calling hours are omitted.
