Middletown, - Arthur Joseph Pedro, 85, of 499 Aquidneck Avenue Middletown, RI, died Thursday, August 7, 2003 at home followin a long illness.He was the husband of Grace A. Groux Pedro. Born in his life long family home, in Middletown, RI on October 8, 1917, he was the son of the late Manuel and Theresa Pacheco Pedro.Mr. Pedro was a retired Middletown Policeman. He was also an Army Veteran of World War II, participating in both the European and Pacific Theaters, as a Staff Sergeant. Besides his wife he is survived by four children, Arthur J. Pedro of Narragansett, RI, Theresa M. Farrell of Kenwood, OH, David P. Pedro of Lakeville, MA, and Maureen E. Mulder of Portsmouth, RI, and fifteen loving grandchildren. His funeral will be held on Monday, August 11, 2003, at 10:00 AM in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway And Vernon Avenue, Newport. Burial will be private.
