Son of the late Arthur and Rosalina (Medeiros) Marshall, he was born in Newport and raised on the family farm in Middletown (now Marshall Lane). Arthur restored the Horseshoe Piazza at the International Tennis Hall of Fame, built the acoustical panels for the stage at PPAC in Providence, and constructed a screening room for Miramax in Westport, CT.

He loved classical and opera music, and spent retirement enjoying his pets and passion for travel. Arthur was always willing to lend a hand to anyone.

Dalton and her husband Michael of North Kingstown, Peter Marshall of Middletown, and his former wife Clarinda Marshall of Middletown.
