Augustine "Gus" J. Gracia

Middletown, RI - Augustine ?Gus? J. Gracia, 77, of 558 Green End Avenue, Middletown, died Tuesday, December 21, 2004 at home.He was the husband of Bernice Almeida Gracia. Born in Middletown, RI on September 1, 1927, he was the son of the late Philip and Angelina Souza Gracia. Mr. Gracia was the owner and operator of A J Gracia Inc. for 46 years, retiring in 1990 and the owner and operator of County Liquor Mart in Middletown for 25 years. He was a member of the Seven Castles Club. Mr. Gracia was a member of Jesus Saviour Church in Newport. Besides his wife of 52 years he is survived by his son J. Michael Gracia, his daughter Joanne M. Roggero, his brother Joseph Gracia and his sister Florence Silvia all of Middletown, RI, and three grandchildren.He was the brother of the late Philip Gracia. His funeral will be held on Thursday, December 23, 2004, at 10:00 AM in Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.
