Barbara Ferry Gagner, 66, of Middletown, RI, died Thursday, February 3, 2011 at the Grand Islander Health Care Center in Middletown.She was the wife of the late Eugene Gagner.Born in Newport, RI on November 5, 1944, she was the daughter of the late William F. and Yolanda Gavioli Ferry.Barbara enjoyed music and playing cards. She will be greatly missed by all her children and grandchildren.She is survived by her children, Ernest Smith, Jr. of Tiverton, RI, Dawn Marshall of Middletown, RI and Victoria Lee Smith; six grandchildren, Rebecca Settle, Ernest Smith III, Charles Smith, Candice Marshall, Brett Marshall and Erin Homer; two great-grandchildren, Abigail Jane Smith and Collin Smith; two sisters, Joan I. Goff of Middletown, RI, and Patricia Whitehurst of Newport, RI; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late William F. Ferry and Josephine Carroll.A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, February 11 2011 at _9am in Jesus Saviour Church, Broadway and Vernon Avenue, Newport, Inurnment will follow in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Woman to Woman, 164 Broadway, Newport, RI 02840.
