Barbara Jane Lauder

Middletown, RI - Barbara J. Nickerson Lauder, 72, of 13 Wood Road, Middletown, RI, died Monday, August 21, 2006 at home surrounded by her family. She was the wife of Bernard Keith Lauder. Born in Boston, MA, on September 16, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Edwin and Margaret Owens Nickerson.Mrs. Lauder worked at the Newport Hospital and also at the former Grants and Sears over the years. She was a communicant of St. Lucys Church. Besides her beloved husband, she is survived by her children, Audrey Taylor of Fall River, MA, Kenneth Lauder of Middletown, RI, Bernard Keith Lauder Jr. of Ellendale, ND, Donald Lauder of Portsmouth, RI, and Karen Carruba of Portsmouth, RI, her sisters Francine Cardona of Boston, MA, Lee Swinamer of Quincy, MA and Madeline Winquist of Hawaii. She also leaves her thirteen adoring grandchildren and six great grandchildren. She was the sister of the late Edwin Nickerson Jr. and Audrey Nickerson. Her funeral will be held on Thursday, August 24, 2006, at 8:00 am from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 9:00 am in St. Lucys Church, 909 West Main Road, Middletown. Burial will be in Newport Memorial Park in Middletown.Calling hours will be held on Wednesday, August 23, 2006, from 6-8pm in the funeral home.
