PORT ORANGE, FL - Barbara Kathleen (Brogan) Buddemeyer, 82, of Port Orange FL, formerly of 73 Potomac Road, Portsmouth, RI, died Tuesday, August 26, 2014. She was the wife of the late Paul F "Pap Pap Buddemeyer. Born in Pittsburgh, PA on September 15, 1931, she was the daughter of the late Allan Kathleen (Stanley) Brogan.Mrs. Buddemeyer worked as a Service Supervisor and Corporate Trainer of Customer Service for Howard Johnson's for over 40 years. She enjoyed traveling the world with her husband, Paul, as they took many European adventures together. She was a caring, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. What she enjoyed most was having her family around her and filling her house with laughter. She loved her children, their spouses, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was fiercely proud of her Irish heritage. She was a treasure to her family and friends. Her faith knew no boundaries as she raised her family with an abundance of love. She is survived by her six children and their spouses, Paul Earl Buddemeyer of Clarksville, TN, Albert Daniel Buddemeyer and Kimberly Catalan of New Smyrna Beach, FL, David Allan and Kathi Buddemeyer of Jupiter, FL, Kevin Michael and Gail Buddemeyer of Bristol, RI, Michelle Marie (Buddemeyer) and Paul Finan of Tiverton, RI, Michael Allan and Amy Buddemeyer of Portsmouth, RI , seven grandchildren, Stephanie Lee Buddemeyer of New Smyrna Beach, FL, Zack Michael Buddemeyer of Jupiter, FL, Kristine Anne Buddemeyer of Bristol, RI, SheonaMarie Buddemeyer Finan of Fall River, MA and Christopher Allan and Stephanie (Glynn) Finan of Middletown, RI Shane Michael Buddemeyer and Megan Rose Buddemeyer of Portsmouth, RI, and three great grandchildren, Brooke Marie Finan, Danial Allan Finan and Olivia Rose Finan. Her private family funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2014, at St. Barnabas Church, followed by a private family burial service at Portsmouth Cemetery.Memorial donations in her memory may be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
