Barbara Louise Makuch

Somerset, MA - Barbara Louise Makuch, 76, of 136 Crestview Avenue, Somerset, MA formerly of Bristol, RI died unexpectedly Tuesday, August 4, 2009 at Charlton Memorial Hospital, Fall River, MA. She was the wife of Thaddeus Stanley Makuch for the last 56 years. Born in Providence, RI on July 13, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Julia Thomaszewski Palreiro. Barbara lived in Bristol, RI until the age of 17, when she moved to Fall River. There she worked for the First National Stores for 7 years. Barbara was a loving mother to her six children, an avid card player with her friends, and she adored her dogs.She is survived by her husband Thaddeus Stanley Makuch of Somerset, MA, her sons Gary M. Makuch and his wife Colleen of Acushnet, MA, Glenn S. Makuch of FL, John P. Makuch and his wife Lorraine of Swansea, MA, Jason S. Makuch of Somerset, MA, and Thaddeus Makuch and his wife Sue, also of Somerset, MA, and a daughter Rebecca Duarte of FL. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother, James Palreiro. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009, from 5:00-8:00pm in the Connors Funeral Home, 55 West Main Road, Portsmouth, RI 02871.
