Barbara Miller

Newport, RI - Barbara (Crane) Miller, 76, of 195 Admiral Kalbfus Road, Newport, RI, died Friday, June 29, 2012, at home. Born in New Bedford, MA, on January 31, 1936, she was the daughter of the late William and Marjorie (Clifford) Crane.Barbara worked as a Taxi Driver for the Rainbow Cab Company. She was a member of the Middletown Senior Center, the Portsmouth Senior Center, the Salvation Army and the Red Hat Society. Barbara loved to play bingo, sew, knit, crochet and make puzzles. She is survived by daughter Natasha Miller of Portsmouth, RI, her son James Reed of FL, her daughter Jessica Ballenger of Tacoma, WA, her daughter Jacqueline Silvia of Bristol, RI, and her daughter Jennifer Carnevale of North Kingston, RI, her brother Lenny Crane of Dartmouth, MA, her sister Phyllis Peckham of Hyannis, MA, fourteen grandchildren, and one great grandchild. She was predeceased by her brother David Crane.A memorial service celebrating her life will held on Wednesday, July 11th, 2012, at 1:00 PM, at the Newport Elks Lodge #104, 141 Pelham Street, Newport, RI.
