Beatrice Frances Cookinham

Middletown, - Beatrice Frances Cookinham, 81, of 59 Rogers Lane Middletown, died Saturday, January 4, 2003 at Newport Hospital Newport, RI. Born in Cranston, RI on July 3, 1921, she was the daughter of the late Deloria Carigan.Mrs. Cookinham worked as a sales clerk for the Navy Exchange. She was a former member of the Portsmouth Grange, a former member of Aquidneck Ladies Bowling League, a member of the Ladies Degree of POH, a member of the Womens Auxillary of Redman and a former Vice President of the Ladies of the Hibernians. She is survived by two sons John L. Cookinham III of Kansas City, MO, and Thomas W. Cookinham of Westport, MA, her daughter Judith Lacerda of Billerica, MA, and six grandchildren. Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, January 7, 2003, at 8:00 AM from the Memorial Funeral Home, 375 Broadway, Newport, with a Mass of Christian burial at 9:00 AM in St. Marys Church, Spring Street, Newport.
